Welcome to Fawcett

The Hamlet of Fawcett located 40km North of Westlock in the Division of Westlock County. We are nestled between the Pembina River and two highways #44 and 663.

We have a local hall, skating arena and sportsgrounds, you can enjoy organized events such as - Harvest suppers, spring and fall brunches-July 1st Celebration -Agricultural speakers, community wide garage sales, Christmas Potluck, and Local Horticultural Tour. {check the calendar for dates & times} The Fawcett Ag. Society sponsors the local newsletter, web page,signage on the highway, and maintains the hall which is used by many groups and for a variety of events: Weddings, Reunions, Club meetings - TOPS, 44 North Hockey Club, 4-H Beef Club, and W.R.Frose School Hot Lunch Program. Our local sportsgrounds not only has two ball diamonds that are used throughout the spring and summer, there is also camping spots available for public use.

Our local Seniors Centre is extremely active. The enthusiasm the men and ladies have focuses on events such as jamborees, Wednesday morning coffee, monthly soup and sandwiches, horseshoe tournaments and an all time favorite, that people come from all around for- regardless of the weather- the Floor Curling Tournaments.

We are very proud to be a part of such a Rich and Caring Community and would like to extend an invitation to everyone to come and see what we have to offer. Drop in if you are at one of the Lakes in our area, or want to go for a hike or quading on the Trans Canada Trail. There is fishing at the river, a local Golf Course, picnic areas at the ball diamond, local u-pick it, bird watching and hiking at the nearby Hubert Lake Conservation park or if your just looking for a nice quiet easy drive on the baseline road {663} to Athabasca- we have it all within a few kilometers.
